Fortune Magazine recognizes DWI's Equity Capital Markets Health Care Research

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Friday, June 12, 2009 - Duncan-Williams, Inc., (DWI) a Memphis, Tenn.-based financial services firm announced today that Fortune Magazine has recognized its Equity Capital Markets Health Care research efforts.

 

James Terwilliger, senior health care analyst, was quoted for his research on small cap stock Merit Medical Systems (MMSI). Fortune Magazine’s “Fortune 40: The best stocks to retire on” listed MMSI in its 2009 small cap stocks to buy.

 

Founded in 1987, Merit Medical Systems, Inc. is engaged in the development, manufacture, and distribution of proprietary disposable medical devices used in interventional and diagnostic procedures, particularly in cardiology and radiology. Terwilliger told Fortune that, “Orthopedic procedures, cosmetic procedures, for whatever reason, will be delayed. But you can't delay a heart attack, and you can't delay a cardiac procedure.” Terwilliger is projecting double-digit revenue and earnings growth for Merit in 2009 and 2010.
