Duncan F. Williams

President

Mr. Duncan F. Williams joined Duncan-Williams, Inc. in 1993 following a number of years of service with a Birmingham, AL NYSE Member firm. In May 2000, Mr. Williams was named President and CEO of rapidly-growing and well-respected investment banking firm, Duncan-Williams, Inc.
Under his leadership, Duncan-Williams, Inc. has expanded far beyond its strong regional footprint. The Memphis, TN-based firm now operates branches in Houston, Charlotte, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Nashville, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Hattiesburg and Jackson, MS. and employs more than 170 people.
Mr. Williams is active in industry leadership roles. He is currently serving on the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Board of Governors, having been elected on October 26, 2007. He is also a member of the FINRA Small Firm Advisory Board, and past member of FINRA’s Small Firms Impact Task Force and the Small Firm Hand-Off Program Working Group. Mr. Williams also served on the FINRA District Business Conduct Committee from January 1999 until December 2002, serving as Chairman of the Committee in 2002. From 2002 to 2004, he also served on the FINRA District Nominating Committee, serving as Chairman in 2004.
Mr. Williams is a graduate of the University of Alabama and supports his Alma Mater as a member of the President’s Cabinet, Commerce Executive Society, and Board of Visitors. He is also currently Chairman of the Leadership Academy in Memphis, a member of the Memphis Economic Club, and an Advisory Board Member of SunTrust Bank.
