Adis O. “Buddy” Crihfield

Mr. Crihfield began his career in the United States Air Force in 1963, and was discharged in 1967 after four years of active duty.  He attended the University of Memphis from 1967 until 1971 while working concurrently at a local hospital.  Mr. Crihfield was hired by a Memphis based regional investment banking firm in 1972 with responsibility for housing and healthcare financings.   During his ten year tenure with this firm, he was directly involved in  bond financing for  Section 23, Section 8, and Sections 221(d) (4) FHA financing for multi-family housing.

 

In 1982, Mr. Crihfield accepted a position with the Capital Markets division of a large national bank.  As Executive Vice President of the whole loan mortgage trading desk, he was responsible for the purchase and sale of single family housing loans.   Loan portfolios were purchased from banks and thrifts and securitized or sold as whole loans to FHLMC and FNMA.  This position entailed the oversight of 65 employees performing due diligence and compliance.  The bank purchased and resold these mortgage portfolios in pools in excess of $200MM.

 

Mr. Crihfield has pursued his career in the investment banking business on a continued basis for 35 years.  He has maintained his work in the field of housing, utilizing FHA insurance, USDA guarantees and Section 42 LIHTC. Mr. Crihfield is currently serving as Senior Vice President and Co-manager of the Public Finance department of Duncan-Williams, Inc.  He has held that position for 7 years.
